Great trip! 12 dives, including nurse sharks, barracuda encounters, a spotted eagle ray, stingrays, lobsters, octopi, morays, drum fish, more! Good food, nice staff at the Lodge at St George.
PinUp Girl is on hold because I’m doing a Colinette throw for a friend. The next couple days are going to be full [...]

Can You Tell When I’ve Had Days Off?
March 19th, 2005 · 1 Comment
Yep, I made progress on my knitting, I puttered around the house and garden, I surfed the internet and made updates to my webpage. I drank tea, read a variety of books, and walked the dog. (I often declutter as well. Our house is quite small and if something new comes in [...]

Weekend in Yosemite
March 15th, 2005 · No Comments
Wow. And wow again. 75 degrees, brilliant blue skies, sheer granite dropoffs, waterfalls — I’m a beach girl but Yosemite is one of the most gorgeous places on earth.
Dave and I go every year to the California Vet Med Assoc spring conference in Yosemite. Lectures in the morning for me, he catches up [...]

Looks like Cozumel instead of Dominica for August, based on costs/ease of getting there.

Pinup Girl

I’ve started the Pinup Girl sweater for me from Stitch N Bitch. Celery green Classic Elite Lush. Yum!
I actually knitted a swatch for a gauge. Good thing I did because I ended up going up a size in needles.
I’ve also ordered yarn for my mom’s sweater, the green floral sweater in Knitting [...]

Some SCUBA stuff
March 2nd, 2005 · No Comments
Since I ‘advertise’ this as SCUBA related as well I figure I’d better put something up here about diving.
I’ve been diving about a year now. Had a pretty bumpy beginning regarding claustrophobia and rental wetsuits and ended up doing classroom & pool work for my PADI open water certification through [...]
Drone Horse Blanket
March 2nd, 2005 · No Comments
Umm. Yes, gauge is important, and you shouldn’t just wing it, even for a dog sweater. Interestingly enough the length etc is fine, so apparently I do know how to use a tape measure properly. But the Drone costume is just that, for Rigel for Halloween, and not for daily wear, and [...]
