Ack. Finally went for a run after being sick for 2 1/2 weeks. Good news: my legs felt fine and I was able to (albeit very slowly) run a goodly distance (about the same as before) before wanting my walk break. Bad news: my chest ached on deep inspiration (not expiration) almost the whole time (remnants I’m sure of the bronchitis), I felt a little lightheaded (granted, it was a sunny, bright mid-day run), and I was tired most of the day after. And of course my calves and butt are a little sore today.
Oh, yeah. The Chesebro Half is this coming weekend. Right. I may switch to the 5 or 10k. I didn’t think I could feel LESS prepared than I did for the Carlsbad Half.
